Primary Issues to Resolve

• Establishing Service – Traditionally, new utility service would need to be built/installed. This process involves time, money and various political hurdles.

  SOLUTION - Ultimate solution was to extend existing local area network. All physical considerations were identified and solved by Vision CTS.

• Lengthy Contracts – Historically, network buildout costs are recouped over longer-term contracts. Tenant and landlord did not want long term utility commitment.

  SOLUTION - Logical considerations needed to be addressed as well. How to separate the networks so they operate independently on the same connection. These concerns were also addressed by Vision CTS.

• Ownership and responsibility – The age old battle of who is going to take on the risk.

  SOLUTION - Managed service solution was proposed to overcome risk hurdle. Ultimately, neither the landlord nor the tenant wanted the responsibility, so we decided to own the risk.

Results

Landlord is able to provide a benefit and add an additional revenue stream. The tenant is the recipient of the benefit and enjoys the peace of mind knowing the service is hassle-free and supported. We are allowed to do what we are experts in.
